Advancement Via Individual Determination (A.V.I.D.)

**Hello, my dedicated college bound students! Eighth Grade is here so we need to start preparing for graduation, High School, and College.

The Mission of A.V.I.D. is to take students who are "in the middle" (have basic to proficient test scores and between a 2.0-3.5 G.P.A.) and have a determination to succeed and push them to succeed in the most rigorous classes at Gage Middle School to try and increase their enrollment in 4 year colleges and universities. Because of our mission we have very high expectations, which are outlined in the A.V.I.D. Contract. Most importantly, students need to pass all classes with a C or higher and receive E's and S's in cooperation. If a student is struggling with upholding their contract they will be placed on A.V.I.D. probation and will be doing several things, including attending homework help, to help them succeed. For more details on A.V.I.D. Probation click here.
